FREE Calicivirus RHDV1-K5 Release Program Participant Workshops
Join us in a free workshop to gain an overview of Leschenault Biosecurity Group’s Calicivirus RHDV1-K5 Release program. We encourage workshop participation ahead of participation in this program, wheter your new to the program or as a refreseher regarding best practices for involved processes and tailored guidance to maximise the effectiveness of your participation in this program.

The LBG’s annual summer Calicivirus RHDV1-K5 (K5) Release Program commences with our 19th January 2026 workshop with two Release Dates scheduled to date. Contingent upon LBG’s virus supply and Operational Area need, an addtional, later release date may be added.
Calicivirus “K5” releases are a key part of an integrated approach to managing feral rabbits. This biocontrol serves as an effective tool for reducing pest rabbit numbers across the landscape. While it won’t eliminate all rabbits, the virus helps significantly lower populations, making it easier for landholders to implement additional control strategies on their properties. The more participants involved, the greater the impact – let’s work together for a better outcome!
