Thanks to the more than 300 landholders, together with our partner local governments and other project collaborators, who participated in the WA State NRM grant-funded Four LGAs, One Weed program to tackle Arum Lily on properties across the Shires of Capel and Harvey and the Cities of Bunbury and Busselton.  Your passion and commitment played a vital part in working together across our communities to help tackle this extremely aggressive, invasive declared pest plant.

PROJECT COMPLETED | THANK YOU TO ALL PARTICIPANTS

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM:

The Four LGAs, One Weed was a WA State NRM grant-funded program aimed at bolstering Arum Lily control at eligible sites within the Local Government Authorities (LGAs) of Busselton, Bunbury, Capel and Harvey, helping to protect and preserve local ecosystems with much needed grant funding.

The Leschenault Biosecurity Group (LBG) served as overall program administrator in addition to delivery of other project implementation tasks working closely with the environmental and natural resource management teams from the four participating local governments, along with private landholders and other project collaborators. Together, the project supported ground-based reconnaissance, mapping, treatment and monitoring of Arum Lily infestations while increasing community awareness of the environmental and agricultural impacts of this higly invasive, declared pest.
