Membership

 

Become a Member of the LBG

As a representation of community, LBG relies on membership to determine our priorities and goals in pest management. The higher the community involvement, the better we can represent your needs. Membership is free.

ordinary Membership

An Órdinary member’ means a representative Landholder that has applied for full membership under             Rule 8(1).  Only one Ordinary member can be nominated per property and an Ordinary member has a maximum of only one vote when voting rights are required to be exercised. Ordinary membership is available to one nominated Landholder per VEN in the LBG Area of Management.

Associate membership

“Associate member” means any individual, public authority or other corporate body that has applied for membership under Rule 8(2). An Associate member has no voting rights. This is also applicable for a representative organisation or someone who is not eligible for Ordinary membership. Associate membership is available to any individual who resides in the LBG Area of Management and has an interest in managing pests within the LBG Area of Management and who are willing to contribute.

Corporate membership

A ‘Corporate member’ is any public authority or other corporate body that has applied for membership under rule 5(1)(c). A Corporate member has no voting rights.

Expert membership

An ‘Expert member’ means an individual considered by the Committee to have expertise in pest management that has applied for membership under rule 5(1)(b). An Expert member has no voting rights.
